Materials
Self Fabric - pre-washed
Lining Fabric - pre-washed
1/2" (1.3 cm) wide double fold bias tape
All purpose thread - bias tape color, self and lining colors*
Fabric scissors
Fabric marking tool
Pins
Tailor’s ham
Iron and Ironing board
Spray bottle with water
*To simplify, use one thread color matched to the bias tape for both self and lining seams.

Fabrics similar to those shown in the sample photos:
Waxed canvas, denim lining, demin binding/breast pocket fabric
Denim – repurposed jeans, denim back, sherpa lining, red linen bias fabric
Suggested outer fabrics: raw or washed denim, waxed canvas, heavy linen, wool coating (light to mid-weight).
Suggested lining fabrics: cotton sherpa, brushed flannel, needlecord.
For a no-lining option, pre-quilted cotton works well as a self-contained outer fabric. Bind all interior seam allowances with bias tape or overlock interior seams.

Current updates: The pattern pieces label the seam allowance 1.25 cm, and the instructions use 1.3 cm. Both are 1/2”; sew with 1/2” (1.3 cm).
