Midi Drawstring Skirt — PDF Cutting Guide, No Pattern Pieces

$0.00

Free download: enter your email below the description.

A midi skirt cut from rectangles and gathered by a drawstring tie. Sew it in sheer fabric with a lining, or as a single layer in crisp cotton poplin. Two rows of topstitching on the casing create a subtle frill. Wear it at the high hip or pull it up to the waist; the drawstring sets the fit.

This is a formula-based cutting guide, not a printed pattern. Every piece is cut directly from your measurements.

Sizing:

The formulas work from your own low hip measurement, so there is no size chart to choose from. Suggested cut lengths are 28" (71.1 cm) for mid-calf and 31" (78.7 cm) for low calf, and you can adjust to your height.

What’s included

  • 3-page PDF cutting guide

  • Cutting formulas for the self, lining, casing and tie

  • Measuring instructions and space to record your numbers

  • Fabric requirements and fabric suggestions with links

  • Materials list

  • Link to the free step-by-step video sew along on YouTube

Skill level

Beginner (single layer) to Intermediate (lined). Plaids and stripes are more challenging, since the casing and hem must line up with the pattern.
