Nomad Utility Vest — Quilted Indian Block Print

A Nomad Utility Vest in quilted Indian block print cotton, with black linen binding and a tie closure. Interior seam allowances are also bound for a clean, finished interior. The fabric is hand block-printed in Jaipur, Rajasthan, using traditional techniques and natural dyes — on 100% organic cambric cotton. Small irregularities in the print are part of its handmade character, not a flaw.

Roomy, relaxed fit with low armholes, two lower patch pockets, and an adjustable tie closure, with a hem that scoops slightly lower in the back. The cotton batting is cozy and lightweight, like wearing a cloud. Perfect for layering over an oversized t-shirt, a hoodie, a denim jacket, or even pajamas for cold mornings.

Available in Size 1, ready to ship, or made to order in one other size — fabric quantity is limited, so availability in the second size is not guaranteed long-term. (See size chart below for details).

Care: This fabric has already been washed with a vinegar soak to help set the natural dyes. Mild detergent is recommended for ongoing care. See below for details.

    This vest will last with gentle care, and has already been washed with a vinegar soak to help set the natural dyes.

    For ongoing care, machine wash separately – cold with a mild non-enzyme detergent, occasionally adding a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle can help further reduce fading over time. Natural-dye colors will continue to soften gradually over the life of the garment — this is characteristic of the fabric, not a flaw. Using harsh detergents will fade the colors quicker.

    Air dry is best to protect the fine cotton and preserve the quilting.

    Iron on a low setting if needed.

    Tracking the package once shipped is highly advised to avoid missed or stolen packages, and to catch unexpected transit mishaps early. Items will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground, and you will receive an email with tracking information once the item is shipped.
