Jogakbo Wall & Window Hanging - Korean Patchwork PDF Pattern

$25.00

This listing is for a downloadable PDF pattern and instructions.

Jogakbo (조각보) is a traditional Korean patchwork technique of piecing fabric into geometric compositions - originally utilitarian, now recognized as an art form in its own right. Unlike western quilting, jogakbo is unpadded and unlayered; the pieced seams themselves are the finished surface, often left visible as part of the design. This PDF pattern walks you through constructing a single jogakbo panel from start to finish, suitable for display as wall art or, using sheer or lightweight fabric, as a light-catching window hanging.

The panel is modular, and when made in multiples and rearranged, individual sections combine into a larger piece — a curtain, a room divider, a wall installation — with each repetition offering visual variation rather than an exact repeat.

Skill level: Beginner / Beginner-Intermediate

Finished size for 1 panel: 24” x 36” (61 cm x 91.4 cm)

Suitable for scrap sewing
